I contracted with this company for a project, and had some unpleasant communication issues regarding technical problems, and delays with my invoice/payroll. During the conversation, the owner John proceeded to get defensive about a call he said his assistant made to me to resolve the invoice issue. I showed no record of a call from anyone and told him that, and he got angry, and kept telling me I was annoying him. And that it was my fault for having a generic vm, as though that deterred his assistant. But no one had actually called my number to reach me at all about this (no unrecognized calls came in either, and I had proof in my call log). His communication with me was highly unprofessional and surprising. I asked him what was wrong because his tone and attitude was a bit angry, and then he just got angrier. He told me I was calling him a liar when I said I had proof no one had contacted me. I ended the conversation. By some of the reviews here, I am not the only one who has experienced a problem. I wish I had looked into this before working on a project.
Update: The owner did reach out to have a cordial conversation following this post. The original issue of the invoice is supposed to be resolved soon from my understanding of our conversation, and technical issues have been resolved, and he was willing to discuss our previous communication and the negative impression I was left with from that talk.
Update 12/23 He never paid me. He made the phone call to ask if I felt my review were too harsh, and to promise that he would take care of the payment issue, but never did.
