Entire property was very clean and everywhere on the first floor had a clean, pleasant smell. (We didn't go to any other floors). Indoor pool at end of the hall; door to pool sealed very well because the hall had no chlorine smell. Spacious, nicely appointed room with a real mini-kitchen, including a regular size refrigerator! Excellent bed, linens and pillows. Bathroom was excellent, with a long vanity and tall toilet. Great water pressure and quick hot water in the shower. The property was very quiet after 9 p.m., giving us the best sleep of any hotel on our trip. Off the lobby is a very clean, decently equipped workout room with a laundry room (free to guests!) off to the side. Washers and dryers were well maintained. Staff was outstanding - courteous, knowledgeable, friendly and smiling, always. Good, real food places to eat nearby.

We stayed at Candlewood Suites for its proximity to Epic Waters Indoor Water Park, and it was truly convenient—less than five minutes away! The hotel is surrounded by close restaurants, including McDonald’s, Texas Road House, and even a Walmart for quick snacks for our children.

This is a great budget-friendly place. While it’s not a luxury hotel, the bed was very comfortable, and the place felt secure with no break-ins for our cars. The rooms were spacious, which was a pleasant surprise.

Although the bath towels and amenities are not as luxurious as a four-star hotel, Candlewood Suites provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I highly recommend this hotel if you’re looking for a budget-friendly option and easy access to Epic Waters Indoor Water Park.

My family and I stayed at this hotel on and off for 2 weeks and I had no complaints other than the pool having a being cleaned sign and then getting in directly after the sign was taken down and being met face to face with a bandaid as Im under water, and lastly all of the staff was so nice and accommodating especially Jorge. He’s to sweet but for some reason every encounter with Adrianna wasn’t pleasant, she seems a bit racist. Every time a staff member did something she would reply as if they aren’t doing their job correctly to make the situation difficult. She also quoted somethings to me and then changed it up after I followed her guidelines. Her customer service skills reflected racist or just plain nonexistent. I got charged prices higher than the website even after I mentioned the website being cheaper. I wouldn’t say don't go here because its nice and the rest of the staff is awesome!!!!

Very upscale hotel, full kitchen with residential refrigerator/freezer. Only drawback is traffic noise from interstate. Staff friendly and helpful. Room has very good hvac system and nice TV. Only drawback curtains did not seal out all light.

I liked this hotel overall. The gentleman who greeted me on arrival was upbeat and helpful. The room smelled nice and was clean. The bed was a little stiff but not too much to be uncomfortable. The bathroom was clean and useful. The elevator was really slow, but it didn’t cause too many problems. I’d stay here again if given the chance and the price is right.

We stopped here on our way to Galveston Island and we absolutely loved the rooms! They were very clean and well kept! They had a fridge, stove, microwave and coffee maker in the kitchen area which was really nice to use! Bathroom/shower was very clean also. There was a cupboard in the reception area where they offered free coffee but you can buy other items there if you want. The queen size beds were sooo comfy and soft and everyone got a wonderful night's sleep! Would definitely go back to stay anytime! ?

Had a terrible experience here. The hallway on the third floor where my room was, had a terrible stench of cigarette. The smoke smell filled both the hallway and even filtered into the room. Don't stay in this hotel if the smell of cigarette affects your health negatively like I was affected and if you want a clean ambience.
